BURST#2

Hornig Areal

BURST #2 invites you into a space of movement, voice, and resonance – a place where personal experiences and collective stories intertwine.

Born from conversations with people who shared their experiences with discrimination, the performance weaves choreographic fragments, sounds, and atmospheres into a rich, sensory tapestry.

After its first edition at the Kunsthaus Graz, BURST #2 is presented in the former Hornig coffee factory, now a space of graffiti and artistic interventions. The site’s history and transformation mirror the performance’s themes and deepen its layers of personal and collective resonance.
BURST #2 unites handcrafted elements with experimental performance tools. A custom motion-tracking system shapes sound in response to movement, while a dodecahedron loudspeaker immerses the space in recorded voices. Technology becomes a vessel for the stories’ fragile humanity, where body and sound intertwine.
