  Suspension Study
 Kunsthaus Graz

Suspension Study for Trisha Brown, is an interdisciplinary quintet in homage to Trisha Brown’s iconic Roof Piece from 1971, Jadi Carboni developed a dance quintet on the roof of the Kunsthaus, relating to the city soundscape.
Suspension can be translated as the necessary ‘tension’ to keep things in motion. It is a moment of pause, interruption, a spark of a contact, profoundly unique in both, intensity and form.
The city is a constantly moving organism, with which we flow and rock along.
We explore the dialogue between the inner and the outer environment, adapting our movements and states to the city rhythms. Playfully, we explore the different qualities and effects of sounds on the bodily movement and presence, manifesting in interesting spatial and interpersonal patterns.
